Amy Franklin, MS, DVM

Honey Bee Veterinary Medicine, Founder

Dr. Franklin holds a B.S. in Forest Resource Management from West Virginia University, M.S. in Wildlife Biology from Villanova University and a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University. 

She serves on the Board of Directors of the Honey Bee Veterinary Consortium and Northern Colorado Beekeepers Association. She is a member of the North American Coalition for Insect Agriculture, American Veterinary Medical Association, and Colorado Veterinary Medical Association. Amy divides her time between the DR Congo where her nonprofit is based and Loveland, CO where she works with Colorado apiarists, providing honey bee veterinary care. She resides with her husband, three children, four donkeys, three dogs, a flock of chickens and guinea fowl and, of course, countless honey bees. She is currently working toward her Master Beekeeper certification.
