Hi!
I started my bee journey last spring, taking the workshop at Cocopos. I live up in Bellevue off the grid on 40acres surrounded by hundreds of acres of open space. I have a very large garden, and even have established wild (and slowly moving towards my hive ) fireweed. I harvested almost 40lbs of honey my first summer! I just checked on my bees a week ago and they are thriving with a new slab of bee candy. My wind block and extra insulation seems to be working. I’d really like help figuring out splitting or preventing a swam this spring. If someone would like to guide me on this I’d be very grateful. Also, I wanted to ask about my honey setting. I tried stirring for a half hour with warm water but was afraid to ruin the benefits of the raw honey. It not only didn’t it work it seems even more granular.
