Speaker:  Fred FastHorse – Lakota Honey Lodge Youth Development Beekeeping

Few members may know all the outreach NCBA offers to our community and beyond. For the last four years, the Lakota Honey Lodge Youth Program has been one of NCBA’s sponsorship programs to encourage beekeeping in youth.  Under the guidance of Dave Primer, one of our long-term founding members, the youth program is now a flourishing social – enterprise and is now a prominent program within the Milks Camp Community of the Rosebud Indian Reservation. The story is not just about teaching beekeeping.  As we all know, beekeeping is a strong connection with nature itself.  Come and learn not only about the program but how beekeeping resonates and interconnects beekeeping with the beautiful Lakota culture. 

We ask that as many members who can join us in person for this event and Zoom will be available. See below.
